    Anita Nahal, PhD

    Anita Nahal, Ph.D., CDP has traveled to 15 countries and speaks three foreign languages (Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu.) Dr. Nahal currently resides in New Jersey, USA with her son, whom she calls her blessing.  She loves writing and is a published author of two academic books, a book of poetry, three children’s books, and over 30 articles in journals and blogs, as well as writings on diversity, inclusion, unconscious bias issues, and on any other topic that captures her imagination.  Anita also loves dancing, and interior home designing. In between those activities, she is a respected diversity, inclusion & unconscious bias trainer, and has been a university professor and researcher in the USA and India.  A former higher education administrator, and program administrator at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, Anita remains an active historian and Certified Diversity Professional (CDP.) The daughter of distinguished educators and writers, Dr. Nahal is the founder & chairperson of www.diversitydiscover.com. She remains deeply involved in community service, women’s, children’s, diversity, education achievement gap and Medicare issues. Her most recent data oriented study on Ethnic and Cultural Diversity at HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) was published as a chapter in a book in 2015. She has read her poems at Busboys & Poets, Washington, DC and 100,000 Poets for Change in Pennsylvania.  Her recent poems can be found in Aberration Labyrinth, Confluence, and this issue of aaduna.
